Frequently Asked Question

We are here to tell you what you need to know to make the most of your desert adveture

How do I get to the trailhead?

We will come pick you up at your hotel, drive you out to the hike and drive you back. We got you covered.

How do I know which hike is right for me?

Peruse through the various hikes. We have descriptions for each area we take you to.  If you’re worried about intensity level shoot us an e-mail or give us a call.  We would be happy to describe it and discuss any worries you might have.

What do I need to bring with me?

During the summer months (Late April- early October) short sleeves, breathable active wear, and a hat to shade you from the sun.  During the winter months (Nov-April) long sleeves, active wear pants, and a light sweater.  You’ll want to feel comfortable and feel mobile.  Hiking shoes are always the preference but most sport shoes will suffice.  A backpack to carry water in is ideal, but if you do not have one with you, we will provide one.

Wait a minute, does that apply to the Hot Springs too?

Good question!  The hot springs is a little unique.  We suggest wearing a bathing suit underneath your hiking attire.  The water temperature is usually over 100 degrees.  After soaking in the hot springs, we will have towels for you to dry off with.  If you have your own water shoes, that’s great! If not, we will provide some.

I don’t know how to swim; can I still do the hot springs?
YES! We only soak in the hot springs and relax for a while. No swimming.

How long is each hike?
We give approximate times in the description.  Everyone is different and we will move at a comfortable speed.

I’m out of shape, but I want to see this unique side of Las Vegas.  Can I still book a tour?
Absolutely! I’m also out of shape and manage to do this.  Call or e-mail us and we will make sure you get the kind of tour you are looking for.

I see animals in your pictures, will I see wild animals during the tour?
It’s possible.  We cannot guarantee any big horn sheep sightings, lizard sightings, or alien sightings.  Unfortunately, they are on their own schedule.

Hiking makes me hungry. Should I bring food?
You’re welcome to bring something light.  However, we do not suggest anything heavy. We also provide water, refreshments, and snacks for trail and the car ride.

Something came up, can I cancel?
Oh no! Yes, we ask that you cancel at least 2 days in advance. There is a $15 cancellation fee.  If you cancel the same day we keep half cost. Didn’t book through us? You will need to go to your point of sale and check their policies.

Why is 4 the maximum number of people that can go on a hike?
We prefer small groups.  It gives us time to make sure everyone is getting what they want from the hike.  If you’re looking for a larger group, please call or email us and we can discuss further.

Can I bring my dog?
Maybe.  Depending on the hike and the current number of people on the tour.  Give us a call or email and we can talk about bringing your best friend.
